No one knows what to think
Of experiences new
Their minds defined by what they’ve known
In their close minded view
In a world always changing
Nothing remains the same
As we see it through the veil
Of the past from whence we came
We ponder our lives presently
As we watch the earth revolve
Slowly keeping track of
The speed which we evolve
Waves of liquid time will wash
Our present lives away
As somewhere someone else will rise
To swim another day
Pass the torch to innocence
To teach them what it takes
To rise above all circumstance
And learn from our mistakes
