Building the Great Society: Inside Lyndon Johnson’s White House

By Joshua Zeitz

I loved the book. It gives great insight to the inner workings of Lyndon Johnson’s White House and the events surrounding the Great Society without clouding it with the controversy surrounding the Vietnam War. The book does a great job of going in depth into the domestic achievements of the Great Society, a legacy that lives on 50 years past his presidency. I love how it is detailed and easy to follow. I now rank LBJ as a truly great president.
