How to Get Involved
The Prison Book Program is an excellent place for your group to volunteer.
We host all kinds of groups from churches to classes fulfilling service learning requirements and learning about social justice issues.
Please contact us ahead of time if you would like to bring more than five people. We recommend making a reservation 1 to 3 months in advance for our Saturdays sessions, which fill up very quickly.
Please email volunteer@prisonbookprogram.org with the number of people and which sessions might work for you.
Book Drop off and Volunteer Hours
Hours:
Tuesdays and Thursday 6:30-9:00pm,
Wednesdays 1:30-4:00 pm (vaccines required)
Saturdays: 1:00-4:00pm
Volunteers
must sign up in advance
either just before you come or weeks in advance.
Book Drop Offs
Books can be dropped off during volunteer hours. You do not need to sign up in advance, but check the sign up page to make sure we are open.
