The Rape of Nanking

By Iris Chang

I received a copy of this book from Lucy Parsons Bookstore and was pleased to finally be able to read this iconic book about WWII in China. The singular horrific event of the fall of Nanking and the subsequent massacre of its citizens is a sadly marginalized event in Asian history. Although at times conveyed with earnest emotion, Chang relates a well-researched and documented tragedy. Thank you, Lucy Parsons Bookstore volunteers, for this great read!
