It’s about opposing cliques, one of poor kids from the East Side and rich kids from the West Side. I found myself in the story because I grew up in almost the same struggle. It taught me that we’re not our circumstance nor environment, and if the “pony boy” can overcome the (gangish) ways, then I can also. It was both entertaining and thought provoking, but too life changing for I renounced my gang and live for just myself!
