Service Learning/Internships

Does your school, college or university have a service learning requirement? Are you looking for a place to complete an internship? We welcome high school and college students to complete their requirements with us. We can fill out whatever paperwork is necessary. In addition, we can arrange unpaid internships that will give you a wide range of experience and the opportunity to help a worthy cause. If you are interested, please talk to a member of the core group at one of our packing sessions or email info@prisonbookprogram.org

Students: Run Book Drives for PBP and Earn Extra Cash

The Prison Book Program is looking for students or other college or university-related community members to run book drives at their schools in conjunction with our partner, Better World Books. Students will be eligible to compete for regional and national scholarships and there are several part-time paid positions available on certain campuses, all coordinated and administered by Better World Books.

For more information about Better World Books, go to www.betterworldbooks.com

Interested parties in the New England area should respond directly to Ina Claggette, Northeast Regional Director for Better World Books at: inaclaggette@BetterWorldBooks.com

In addition to helping us collect much-needed books, you'll be helping the Prison Book Program to raise vital funds (unused books will be sold online), and keep thousands of books from needlessly filling up landfills! The book drives are a fun, easy, fulfilling and very educational way to earn extra money for school while helping the Prison Book Program to achieve our important goals. We hope you, or someone you know, will consider giving it a try this semester.
