Other "Books to Prisoners" Programs

Prison Book Program sends free books to individual prisoners in the United States, with the exception of the states of California, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, and Texas.

Below is a list of the other books-to-prisoners programs of which we are aware. If you are looking for books to be sent to a state we do not serve, try contacting one of these programs.

Additionally, if you would like to donate books to Prison Book Program, but live too far away to drop them off, we encourage you to find another books-to-prisoners program near you. Be sure to check out the group's website for further information before dropping off your book donations.

Some programs have separate addresses for mail and volunteering. Be sure to check the program's website before sending mail, dropping off books, or showing up to volunteer.
